yehhh im all serb and proud of it!! i was born in belgrade && came to america when i was 2 && i agree with all u guys && thanxs for clearing my country’s name!!

Im going bakk in 3 days to visit my awesome counrty!

Stumbled on this post while fishing around for images of the labyrinth design.
The labyrinth first “found me” back in 2005. It was *absolutely* life changing, and I now walk them regularly. Made my own pilgrimage to Chartres in the fall of 2008, and was fortunate to have it coincide with when the chairs *weren’t* covering it.

Anyhow, glad to run into your post. Great reminder of a great place!

Lol, I see that I’m posting 3 years after that fact, but I was searching google images for Princess cakes, and it showed the one from your shower…your shower theme was so cute! loved all the crowns, princess mugs, etc.

I love this post! Just found it today! I am German but strangely I feel Serbian at heart- dated a Serb man and it rubbed off on me! Very nationalistic proud people.

Just never say “ich bin heiss” in the middle of a crowded place;)
I’ve had the opposite experience, Germans never let me speak German – they always start speaking english as soon as I’ve got 2 words out, nice at the beginning but frustrating when youre trying to learn! Never had anyone being condescending, guess it depends where you are – sometimes they laugh at my accent but I laugh at theirs when they speak english, sonds so nerdy:) Got to laugh at yourself. Its actually a great language, very pictorial,figurative – theres no word for bounce though! Good luck!
