More Eye Candy
One usually thinks of sleep and eating as basic human needs. The mother of a newborn soon learns that these are, in fact, simply electives. Baby faithfully plans a bout of inconsolable fussiness to coincide with the moment mommy’s dinner plate hits the table. Baby insists that naps are best taken in mommy’s arms. At night, the quintessential “midnight snack” is imnproved upon by our enterprising (and hungry) baby to become the “2am snack”, the “4am snack”, and so on. Mommy soon invests in a good quality under-eye concealer. I guess on the upside, mom’s inability to get a square meal has already taken her right back into her pre-pregnancy clothes.
So while I go research surefire tricks to put a newborn to sleep, enjoy a few of our latest photos:

Sleep - who needs sleep?!?!
Yes, I hear that after having a baby, you no longer get to eat, sleep or shower as usual!
Soenke looks like a natural with Sophie.
