Too Tired To Write, So We Take More Photos
It takes too long to type with one hand, so I present you instead a continued pictoral essay of Life of Sophie. To be fair, I should include photos of all her incredibly fussy moments, but we are trying not to scare anyone who may be embarking on parenthood soon.
I would like to thank my friends and family who have been visiting/calling/writing and keeping us sane, and especially thank Soenke who is my rock. Thanks to my mom who, over time, gave us a whole lot of baby stuff that is proving indispensible. Thank you Sally and my sis-in-law who remind me that it’s totally normal not to have time to change your clothes or brush your hair for 2 days straight, or to feel at times like a human udder. Also I have to pat myself on the back because I am a darn good mom so far (who would have thought?)
Here we go on some photos:
After shelling out big bucks for a fancy breast pump, Daddy is able to administer the royal dinner for the first time:

Mommy & Princess enjoy some play time (we’re planning what fun things to do on Easter Island!)

Me and Sophie go shopping (I’m sporting my cool pink Moccasins from my cross-US road trip with my girl Danae back in ‘05):

Early morning in the royal sleeping quarters (yeah, where does mommy sleep?!):

Sophie loves all the royal blankets her admirers have made for her…

Celebrating Sally & Kara’s birthdays at TRUDE, complete with husbands and kids!

Sally, our rsident expert mom, entertains her majesty:

I just can’t get over how touching those photos are of you and Soenke with Sophie, I just want to have them all printed out and placed in a huge frame.
I bet you are so happy that you didn’t let this experience pass you up
it’s such so beautiful…

Nice to see Mr. Turtle posing for a picture. That’s a great picture of you with the braids. Yes, no go pat yourself on the back some more!

cute kid. her uncle must really be something special.
hey soenke nice nipple.
and it is just me, or in that very last picture, does or does not sophie look exactly like a trout? im just saying ive seen that EXACT expression before — mouth open, eyes askance — and it is almost always on trout that im pulling off the end of my line. every time i look at that pic i laugh.
now other than the rare trout photo, sophie is absolutely, extremely, unequivacably, shatteringly cute and adorable. i cant wait to meet her. i am bursting at the seams. everyone looks a little tired but very happy.
nice job!

Poorly timed internet vacation on my part. I missed so many yummy baby photos!
Could she be any more gorgeous? Wait, could you? You are looking way too fabulous.
Is it just me or does she look like her daddy?
