Introducing Sophie Celine Einfeldt!
This is Sally, Head Messenger, reporting in on behalf of the Crawford-Einfeldt duo (now trio) with more details.
After a very long and turbulent journey, Jennifer Crawford and Sönke Einfeldt finally welcomed Sophie Celine to life outside the womb yesterday, May 22, 2007 at 11:21 p.m. at Marienkrankenhaus in Hamburg. Sophie weighed in at 4240g and measured 53cm. Her head is a whopping 38cm in diameter. (That’s 9.35 pounds, 20.86 inches and 14.96 inches, not 48 inches, like I had initially reported).
Here’s the princess:

Jennifer is recovering slowly, but surely from the absolute longest, but surely happiest, day of her life. Sönke is the happiest guy on the block. I unfortunately only got a shot of Jennifer with Sophie this time around but next time I’ll be sure to visit when Sönke is around.

Now, from the late poll: you have the US-German baby. What about the book “A year in the merde” style?

She’s gorgeous… as I knew she would be. You look radiant as well. Hope the recovery is smooth!
Congrats from Canada.
(PS I totally voted for the German American baby! Such influence. What should we get Jenn to do next???)
